Rosie’s
Foodservice, Inc. is a Wisconsin corporation founded in
1996 by Andrea and I.
The name Rosie’s goes back to 1977 and
Rosie’s Circus Diner which was the cookhouse on the
Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros Circus that year.
It was named after Rosie McConnell, the wife of
my grandfather’s good friend and business associate.
I
am 3rd generation in the outdoor amusement
business, following my grandfather and father.
Both Andrea and I were born and raised in
Wisconsin, but now live during the off season in
Gibsonton, FL. We
still maintain an office in Chicago, IL since so much of
our business is done in Illinois and Michigan.
Andrea and I are life members and serve on the
Board of Directors of the Showmen’s league of America,
and Andrea is 2003 Past President of the Ladies
Auxilliary of the Showmen’s League of America.
We are also members of NICA, OABA, and IISA as
well as a number of state fair associations.
I am also a shriner and member of Egypt Temple of
Tampa, FL.
Although
we now concentrate solely on fairs, festivals, and
special events, my family has a long history of
involvement with shrine circuses.
My father was Circus Chairman for Medinah Temple
of Chicago when he passed away in 2001.
His company, Nationwide Concessions, Inc was the
exclusive concession company for all Medinah Temple
events.
Rosie’s
Cantina has been awarded Best Concession honors at
Michigan State Fair and Georgia National Fair (2 years),
as well as a number of county fairs and festivals.
